Last updated August 5, 2026

Welcome to Jobs (the “Website,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you provide through our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you create an account, search for jobs, create a candidate profile, submit applications, post jobs, or otherwise use our services.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Website, and information from third-party services that support our platform.

Contact information

Name, email address, phone number, and other contact information you choose to provide.

Professional & employment information

Resumes, work history, education history, certifications, skills, employment preferences, job application responses, uploaded documents, and other professional information you choose to provide.

When you upload a resume, we may use automated tools to extract information from that resume to help create or populate your candidate profile. You can review, edit, and update your profile information before using it to apply for jobs.

Candidate profiles and resumes

You may create a candidate profile and store multiple versions of your resume within your account. You control your profile visibility settings. If you choose to make your profile visible, it may be available to employers using the Website. Candidate profiles are not intended to be publicly accessible or indexed by internet search engines.

Application information

When you apply for a job, we collect and process the information you choose to submit, including your selected resume, application responses, uploaded files, candidate profile information, and contact information.

Location information

Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, and location information you choose to provide when creating a profile or searching for job opportunities.

Payment information

Financial and transaction information processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store complete credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on our servers.

Technical & usage information

IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages viewed, referral URLs, interactions with the Website, and other technical information collected through cookies and analytics technologies.

2. How we collect information

Information you provide

We collect information when you create an account, upload a resume, create or update a candidate profile, apply for jobs, post jobs, make payments, contact support, or communicate through the Website.

Automated technologies

As you use the Website, we may automatically collect technical and usage information through cookies, web beacons, analytics tools, and similar technologies. These technologies help us understand how users interact with the Website and improve our services.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Website; create and manage user accounts; create candidate profiles; process uploaded resumes and documents; facilitate job applications and connections between job seekers and employers; process payments through Stripe; send administrative notifications, receipts, security alerts, and support messages; analyze Website performance; prevent fraud and abuse; enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information in the following circumstances:

With employers

Candidate profile visibility is controlled by you. If you choose to make your candidate profile visible, your profile may be available to employers using the Website. Your profile is not intended to be publicly accessible or indexed by internet search engines.

When you apply for a job, we share the information you choose to include in that application with the employer. This may include your candidate profile information, the specific resume you selected for that application, application responses, uploaded files, and contact information.

You may store multiple resumes in your account, but only the resume you select when submitting an application is shared with that employer.

Once your application has been delivered to an employer, that employer receives its own copy of your application materials and may retain, use, process, or disclose that information according to its own privacy practices and applicable laws. Jobs does not control and is not responsible for an employer’s handling, storage, retention, modification, or deletion of information after it has been shared with that employer.

Service providers

We share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the Website and provide our services. These providers may include cloud hosting providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), payment processors such as Stripe, analytics providers such as Google Analytics, and other vendors that process information on our behalf.

Business transfers

If Jobs, or substantially all of its assets, operations, or platform, is acquired through a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other change of control, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor entity will handle your information according to this Privacy Policy or provide notice of material changes to its privacy practices.

Legal compliance and protection

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect our rights, users, property, safety, or the security of our platform.

5. Data security & storage

Cloud infrastructure

We use industry-standard security practices designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our infrastructure is hosted through secure cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Payment security

Payment card information is processed by Stripe and handled according to applicable payment security standards. We do not store complete payment card information on our servers.

Please note: No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices & controls

Account information, profiles, and resumes

You may review, update, correct, or delete information in your account through your account settings. You may store multiple resumes and choose which resume to submit with each job application.

You may change your candidate profile visibility settings at any time. Making your profile private will prevent future employer visibility through the Website but does not affect information already submitted to employers through previous applications.

Cookies and tracking

Most browsers accept cookies by default. You may adjust your browser settings to remove or block cookies, although some Website features may not function properly without cookies.

Marketing communications

You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those communications.

7. Account deletion & rights

Account deletion request

You may request deletion of your account through your account settings by selecting Delete Account, or by contacting us using the information provided in this Privacy Policy.

Access to your information

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the information provided in this Privacy Policy. We fulfill valid access requests through our support process.

Account deactivation and restoration period

After you submit and confirm a deletion request, your account will be deactivated and you will be signed out. Your candidate profile will no longer be visible to employers through application-gated profile views, applications you have already submitted will be hidden from employer dashboards on this Website, and messaging and job alerts will stop. Your account will enter a 14-day restoration period during which you may restore your account by logging back in and confirming restoration.

Permanent deletion

After the 14-day restoration period expires, your personal information will be deleted from our active systems, except where we are required or permitted to retain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, financial, or operational purposes.

Information that has already been shared with employers as part of a job application is not deleted from employer systems. Employers maintain control over information they receive and handle it according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Exceptions for safety, fraud, and legal obligations

We may retain certain information when necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, disputes, legal claims, regulatory requirements, or financial transaction records.

8. Data retention

How long we keep information

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain your account, support platform functionality, fulfill legitimate business purposes, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Candidate profiles, stored resumes, and account information are retained until you delete your account or we otherwise remove information according to our internal retention practices.

Information that has been submitted to employers through job applications may be retained by those employers according to their own privacy policies and retention practices.

We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for analytics, reporting, research, and business improvement purposes.

10. Children's privacy

The Website is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Website after changes become effective means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
